How can I register?
Click on the ‘register now’ button in the home-page, complete the registration form, then press submit.
How long is the registration period?
Registration period starts on 26th February to 20th March, 2017.
Is it for Saudi citizens only?
No, all residents of KSA can participate.
What is the participants’ minimum and maximum years of experience?
The minimum is 3 and maximum 10 years of experience.
Is the Markathon for males only?
No, it is for both genders.
Does my registration guarantee my place in the event?
No, all registered applicants will go through the nomination process, and the committee will decide.
I do not work in the marketing field, but I am interested in marketing, can I participate?
Yes you can, however, the nominees will be selected by the committee.
When will you announce the nominees’ names?
23rd March.
What is the selection criteria?
- English level
- Updated Linked in account
- Years of experience
- Working on marketing department or any department related to marketing field
- Pay the registration fees
- Ability to attend the Markathon event
How would I know that I got nominated?
You will receive an email in case you got nominated or rejected.
Do all participants have to pay?
No, the nominees only.
When do I pay the registration fees?
If you got selected you will an email with all information and directions to pay.
Is there a fee?
Yes, 300 SAR (this fee will be 100% refundable at the end of festivals), to be paid by the nominated applicants.
How do I pay the fees?

In case I got nominated, then I decided to withdraw the fees, is it possible?
No, once you paid there is no refund for the payment.
What is the mechanism/structure of Markathon event?
Markathon management will assemble the teams out the of the nominees. Full details will be sent to the applicants after announcing the nominees’ names.
Can I choose my team?
No, Markathon management is responsible for the team assembly.
Can I join with my friends as a team?
No, but you can apply separately, and Markathon management will assemble the teams randomly based a certain criteria.
How many winners are there?
The number of winners and the awards will be determined before the event.
What is the award for the top winners?
The winners will be awarded during the NEXT Gala Event on March 28th evening by H.E. The Minister of Commerce and Investments
Where and when will the Markathon event will happen?
At King Abdullah Economic City on the 26th and 27th March.
Will Markathon pay for my transport and accommodation if I got nominated?
